Chatham Community Public Library Opens
On Monday, September 13, 2010 the new Chatham Community Public Library opened on the campus of the Central Carolina Community College. The location also serves as the county’s library system headquarters and a library for CCCC students.
This date also marked the opening of CCCC’s new Sustainable Technology Center, the county’s first green certified public buildings. Find out more at Chatham Community Public Library.
Carrboro Branch Library:
Located in McDougle Middle School, the Carrboro Branch opens to the public after school hours. Because of its unique partnership with the McDougle Middle School, the Carrboro Branch Library uses a different library card and borrowing policy than the other Orange County Public Libraries. Any resident of Orange County is eligible to register for borrowing privileges at the Carrboro Branch.

Carrboro Cybrary
The Carrboro Cybrary provides access to computers, wireless internet, bestsellers, audiobooks, and periodicals. The Cybrary is located in downtown Carrboro in the Carrboro Century Center. Parking is available in the lot across Greensboro Street and in any of the public parking lots around downtown.

Orange County Main Library
The Orange County Main Library is currently located in downtown Hillsborough in the Whitted Building. We provide access to computers, wireless internet, books, magazines, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs and more. Reference services are available for general information as well as local history and genealogy research.
